Roy Pruett :: Program Manager

Family: Married to Dee Pruett, one son, Josh
Education: Human Services – Gadsden State Community College
Experience and Background: Roy has been with Eagle Rock since October of 2003. He coached baseball and basketball for several years in the 70’s and 80’s. Roy and Dee ministered children’s church at East Gadsden Baptist Church for several years.
Interesting Info: Roy, Dee, and Josh produce “Singing the Bible Drill” CD series which teaches children and adults the books of the Bible and key verses and passages through music. These CD’s are available online at www.singingbibledrill.com. Roy is also a nationally recognized professional bowler. This helps supplement his income. Dee is a school teacher for Etowah County. She heads up the SEE program which works with pregnant teens.

LaTonja Lamb :: Houseparent

Family: one son, Bobby Lamb, two daughters, Tanara and Jasmine Lamb, one granddaughter, Ze’Niyah Hughley
Education: Alabama A&M University
Experience and Background: LaTonja has worked for Eagle Rock since 2002.
Interesting Info: LaTonja works with the children and youth at her church. She helps coach at Litchfield Middle School with the girls basketball team. She is also on the Gadsden City High School Titans girls basketball team staff. She subbed and drove the bus for Gadsden City Schools for about 12 years. She played basketball and volleyball at Alabama A&M University. She was on the 1987-1988 SIAC State Championship Volleyball Team at A&M.
Quote: “The good thing about ERBR is that they believe in giving these boys a chance to make something out of themselves and they believe that they are somebody and that they can do anything they want to do if they just put their mind to it. I feel like I have helped some of these boys in a lot of different areas. For instance, like respecting female houseparents, helping them learn how to clean and to wash clothes, and most of all just loving them.”

Jacob Dye :: Houseparent

Family: Married to Barbara Dye, one son, Jacob Aiden Dye
Education: B.S. in Psychology – Jacksonville State University, Currently working on M.S. in Counseling
Experience and Background: Jacob has been with Eagle Rock since February of 2004. His parents, Mark and Francis Dye, have been foster parents for 20 years and along with Jacob have had 77 children live in their home. The experience has gifted Jacob with extraordinary skill and insight useful in helping hurting children.
Interesting Info: Jacob is an avid student at the martial arts and advanced in the disciplines of Judo, Tae Kwan Do, and Ju jutsu. He and his wife attend Crosspoint Community Church.
Quote: “I work at the Ranch because God has burdened my heart for youth – especially orphans or those in need of a home. My parents are foster parents and when I was growing up we always had children in our home. I learned all I know from watching them and helping them when I was older.”

Barbara Dye :: Houseparent

Family: Married to Jacob Dye, one son, Jacob Aiden Dye
Education: Way Home Christian School
Experience and Background: Barbie has been with Eagle Rock since February of 2004. Barbie started working with children at the age of 16 when she worked at Walnut Park Baptist Church and Daycare working as a two year old teacher. She worked there for three years. She then started working at the Twelfth Street Baptist Church Daycare working with 6 week -18 month old babies. She also worked there for 3 years. She then came to work at the ranch. She believes that God has called her here to work with this age group.
Interesting Info: Barbie enjoys swimming, playing tennis, and hiking.
Quote: “My husband and I prayed a lot about working here and we felt led to be here. I feel like we accomplish a lot of good with our boys, spending quality time with them, going on camping trips, etc.”

Roger Beshears :: Houseparent

Family: Married to Carol Annette Beshears, has 2 daughters, 2 sons, and 3 grandchildren.
Education: B.A. Music and History – Jacksonville State University, M.A. & P.H.D. in Bible Theology – International Bible Seminary
Experience and Background: Roger has been in the ministry for 46 years. He has been at Eagle Rock since April of 2003. He spent 20 years in music and youth work and 26 years pastoring churches.
Interesting Info: Roger had a professional music studio – taught piano, voice, and guitar. He is also a composer and arranger of religious music – he has performed concerts. Roger also likes to go hiking, biking, and trail running in his spare time.
Quote: “I heard Scott speak at a meeting and he told of the need for another houseparent. I felt a calling to work at the ranch with the boys. I have always had a joy in working with youth. This has been a major part of my life. In one youth ministry I had 250 students. I have served in 3 churches as music and youth director. We had retreats, camps, choirs, and mission trips. Even as pastor, I was involved with youth and children.”

Kenneth Hallmark :: Houseparent

Family: Married to Kelly Hallmark
Education: B.S. Human Services – Lindsay Wilson College
Experience and Background: Kenneth started working as youth director when he was 16 at Coosa Valley Church. He served as Vice President of the Young Bowlers Association. He also spent 4 years serving as resident advisor at Lindsay Wilson College. He spent from 2000-2006 working at Mt. View Hospital and for Thirteenth Place. He came to Eagle Rock in March of 2006.
Interesting Info: Kenneth is a professional bowler and has bowled in 14 different states and over 50 different bowling alleys. He has bowled two 300 games, one 298 game and thirty 279 games. He also enjoys playing basketball and football as well.
Quote: “I like how the boys are treated here at Eagle Rock. They are treated as normal as possible. For instance, they can have over night visits and they can play sports and directors promote it.”

Andy Hiti

Family: Married to Belinda Hiti, one son, Ethan
Education: A.A.S. Telecommunications – Gadsden State Community College
Experience and Background: Andy worked in youth ministry for 7 years and children’s ministry for 8 years. Andy began working at Eagle Rock in September of 2006.
Interesting Info: Andy is a licensed pastor and has been in the ministry for 15 years working with youth and children. He likes all kinds of sports and being with his family.
Quote: “I enjoy working with the kids and being able to minister God’s love to these boys who are in search of some one to love them in spite of their hang-ups.”

Belinda Hiti

Family: Married to Andrew Hiti, one son, Ethan
Education: Northcentral University – Bible and Behavioral Science
Experience and Background: Belinda worked with youth for 20 + years. First, she was on a voluntary basis at her church in the 80’s then she went to Bible college and minored in youth ministries. She went on staff at a church in 1986 as youth pastor and has continued in that role, as well as with children and outreach, until coming to Eagle Rock in October of 2006. She still volunteers with youth and children at her local church.
Interesting Info: She loves animals and growing flowers and spending time with family.
